Making friends through golf and inspiring thinking through learning. On the afternoon of October 16, a group of alumni entrepreneurs visited the Wensli Sci-Tech Innovation Center. As the only national-level silk culture brand experience site in Zhejiang Province, it not only showcases the cultural heritage of Chinese silk but also presents the exploration of integrating this classic industry of history with modern technology and fashionable lifestyles.

How can traditional industries be transformed into new consumption? How can Chinese brands create high-end value? How can AI be implemented in industry? How can the supply chain achieve rapid delivery? How can a 51-year-old company continue to maintain a young growth curve? Focusing on these industry questions, Tu Hongyan, Chairman of the Wensli Group, shared Wensli's transformation practices with the visiting entrepreneurs under the theme of "Breaking Out of the Cocoon and Transforming Through a Butterfly's Metamorphosis over Fifty Years: Intelligently Leading the Future of a Hundred-Billion-Yuan Industry."

Strategic Thinking on Building a Presence in Four Hundred-Billion-Yuan Industries

At the event, Tu Hongyan systematically elaborated on Wensli's strategic thinking and practical pathways aimed at four hundred-billion-yuan industry goals — historic classic silk, integrated textile printing and dyeing machines, the TC68 textile intelligent agent, and silk-based life and health — from four aspects: the value chain, the production chain, the supply chain, and the ecological chain.

Historic classic industries (value chain) address the issues of cultural value and brand value. Represented by main products such as silk scarves, Wensli continues to explore the cultural connotations of silk, driving the evolution of historic classic industries toward high-end and brand-oriented development, and enabling traditional culture to radiate new commercial value in contemporary consumption.

Integrated textile printing and dyeing machines (production chain) address the issues of production methods and green manufacturing. Through the external sales and promotion of core equipment such as the GBART waterless printing and dyeing integrated machine, Wensli is driving the textile industry's transformation from traditional high-water-consumption and high-pollution production methods toward intelligent and green manufacturing, providing the industry with replicable green production solutions.

Silk-based life and health (ecological chain) addresses the issues of material value and the big health ecosystem. Represented by products such as silkworm pupa tablets and facial masks, Wensli is expanding the application boundaries of silk in the field of life and health, driving silk to extend from wearable fabrics toward health consumption, biomaterials, and other directions, and building a big health industry centered on silk.

From the digital and intelligent transformation of a silk enterprise to providing industrial support for more entrepreneurs, what Wensli is exploring is how artificial intelligence can reconnect creativity with manufacturing, opening up new development space for historic classic industries as well.
