Protection and Inheritance of Non-legacy Silk Weaving Techniques
WENSLI Silk has contributed on its own to establish the first private enterprise silk culture museum in China, and invited Qian Xiaoping, Jin Wen and other ten representative inheritors of Song brocade, K’o-ssy, Suzhou embroidery, Nanjing brocade and Hangzhou leno and other intangible cultural heritage and state-level masters as the honor curators. It has independently developed micro-spraying technology to successfully replicate ancient silk painting, and to “bring home” silk artworks of Dunhuang grottos which are lost overseas. Also, it has taken the lead and together with over 20 museums in the United Nations jointly launched national silk artworks exhibition, which has further aroused people’s value and protection for silk the intangible cultural heritage.
